A first homage to Tekalegn has been paid at the April 2012 Brussels Non European Art Fair (BRUNEAF) by « La Comète ». Some of his most remarkable headrests were on displayed at the « Galerie Noirhomme Maruani »
Each headrest is identified by the name of an ethnic group and / or a geographical area using the classification proposed by Odilon Audouin in his book « Headrests from the Horn of Africa » published in 2016 by the « Editions Toguna ».
